Celebrating our 21st Season in 2007 - 2008!
The Spokane Area Children's Chorus, founded
in 1987, serves young singers from the greater Spokane area between
the ages of 7 and 17. The goal of SACC is the pursuit of musical excellence
at all levels. This builds self-esteem and nurtures the artistic and
personal growth of our members in a joyful and supportive way. Weekly
rehearsals emphasize the development of musicianship, vocal techniques
and performance skills.
As well as presenting an annual concert series,
the Chorus performs regularly with regional and local artists such as
the Spokane Symphony Orchestra and Northwest Bach Festival.
There are seven choirs that make up the SACC
chorus, each reflects the changing needs of children as their musical
ability develops and their age: Preparatory Choir,
Elementary Choir, Intermediate Choir, Concert Choir, Ensemble Choir, Boychoir, and Cambiata Choir .

International Music Concert
SACC's International Music Concert - The Road to Travel - takes place Tuesday, March 18 at 7:00 pm at the Bing Crosby Theater. Together with guest musicians from around the region and the marimba ensemble Zingamarimba from Whitman Elementary School, the choristers will present music from France, South Africa, Scotland, China, Korea, Australia, Israel, several African countries, and more! Choristers and audience learn the cultural, economic and geographic characteristics of the countries represented in the concert.
The concert is repeated the next day, Wednesday, as the International Music Event - two free concerts for 3rd and 4th graders from all over the region who come together to enjoy a wide scope of international music and learn about the places from which those pieces come.
