The connections
formed during a student's time in SACC can provide the foundation for
deep and lasting friendships that extend beyond the SACC experience.

Alumni and current Ensemble Choristers met on Wednesday, December 27 to share a meal and stories about their time at SACC and updates on what they're doing now. We enjoyed seeing Aurora Bennett, Noreen Duffy, Cassie Krum, Anna Dahl, Matthew Palfenier, Seth Hartman, Deanna Davis, Nick Wittman, Kristen Nauditt, Britta Dahlstrom, and Tasha Koontz!

Leslie sang with SACC from
1993-1996, and was a member of SACC's first European Tour in 1996. "I
graduated from Ferris High School in 1998. While at Ferris, I sang with
the Canterbury Belles and represented the City of Spokane as Lilac Queen.
Since leaving Spokane in 1998, I attended the University of Washington
and graduated in 2002 with my BA in Business Administration. During
college, I sang in a number of choirs including Unleashed, an a capella
group. Also, I was the song leader for my sorority, Delta Gamma. In
2002, I joined the Seattle Choral Company, a semi-professional choral
group. We have performed with the Pacific Northwest Ballet and Seattle
Symphony. Now I work in the healthcare industry as the Public Relations
Coordinator for retirement communities and am back at UW studying for
my Master's in Health Administration. I am getting married in June and
my dear friend from SACC will be the soloist at my wedding.
"SACC helped me gain a great appreciation for choral music while
making life-long friendships. Music still is a part of my life and singing
with the Spokane Area Children's Chorus gave me a musical foundation
from which to grow. Singing with a choir during my adolescent years
also enhanced my social and speaking skills by developing confidence
and familiarity with presenting and performing in front of large groups.
These skills have benefited me throughout my education and career."

Former SACC chorister Katie Frankhauser’s
dad recently updated us about her activities. Katie completed a Bachelor’s
degree in Environmental Science, complimented by a minor in music, at
Western Washington University in 2003. As an adult, her primary musical
focus is oboe performance.
She left in January to spend the next two
years working in Belize with Target Earth, a U.S. Christian environmental
group, to set up a volunteer network among Belizean organizations.
She will arrange opportunities for volunteers
to come for short-term work programs, housed at Jaguar Creek, a facility
off the grid. See the Frankhauser family website at http://www.frankhauser.com.
